Sleepovers
When a 13 years old girl invited her closest friends over for a night of gossip, giggles and games she never dreamed that an alien influence (aka: her little brother) would turn her big night into the sleepover from hell. Just before Christmas last year I had my four closest friends over for a sleepover. It had been planned for ages and we were all really looking forward to it. We spent the night watching DVDs, singing karaoke and giving each other mad hair makeovers. My little brother is 11 and he's so annoying. He kept coming into my bedroom to bug us by squirting us with his water pistol, threatening to let his nasty pet hamster out of its cage in my best friend's bed and generally just being a pain. He just wouldn't go away - little brothers and sleepovers just don't mix, especially not my little brother anyway. The next day he kept giggling to himself saying he was going to get us back big time for refusing to let him join our party - as if! On the Monday we went back to school I found out exactly what he meant when he said he'd get us back....he'd taken pictures of us asleep with our hair still in stupid styles and bad makeup all over our faces and plastered them all over school. I nearly died! Before my friends and Icould rush around school tearing the pictures down, nearly everyone had seen them - including my head of year who thought I'd pasted up the pictures as a joke which meant I ended up getting detention. How unfair is that? Now my friends refuse to even come over to my house if they know he is going to be in and I got grounded for a week by my parents for getting a detention. My advice is to enjoy your sleepover but make sure any younger brothers or sisters are nowhere near it when you have it!
