PRINCESS PROMISE TALK SERIES
(Happy Being A Girl with the Help of Whisper)
PRINCESS PROMISE! Is one happy sharing session – where girls like us get to share and appreciate all things positive, fun and great about being us, GIRLS.
We at Whisper listen to you. Today is all about you.
A lot of girls your age already know how to control all types of embarrassing situation and address them with confidence. You are now more independent. You know where you stand. You’re already confident about certain decisions. You know what you like and you don’t like.
You are familiar with your body and comfortable in your own skin. At this point in time, you’ve already embraced your womanhood. You appreciate how great and fun it is to be a girl and the challenges that go with it. But there are still a lot of changes going your way since you’re still young and have a long way to go in life.
At this point in your lives, you have other girls looking up to you. So you’re watching your steps carefully, because you wanted to be seen as a role model, or someone that younger can look up to and idolize. You wanted to remain confident and poise at all times, even when facing situations that makes this goal even more challenging and exciting!
For example, your monthly period. Having your monthly period is not a bad thing really. As long as you have it, you know that you are healthy and normal. What girls like us fear the most is not the menstruation period itself but the fear of having stain when you have your period, at school or in public places.
We at Whisper, believe that you can indeed have a HAPPY PERIOD. We just wanted more control over our monthly period, kasi mas wala tayo control, mas kinakabahan tayo kasi may risk na maabutan tayo ng hindi prepared, or matagusan tayo when we are not using a reliable sanitary napkin. So how can you control the situation and make sure that you and your friends have a HAPPY PERIOD?
- Monitor your monthly period. Majority of us have a regular monthly period. All you have to do is mark on your personal calendar when you last have your period. If your period is regular, it will most likely fall within that same period again every month. Bring an extra sanitary pad.
- When you have dysmenorrhea, mood swings, or your feeling discomfort, make your friends or even your teacher aware of it. That way, they will be more sensitive about your feelings, they will extend more patience to you and understand you.
- Use a reliable and predictable sanitary pad. Whisper guarantees 8 hours of all day and all-night protection. This helps particularly for girls who can’t change their pad due to their busy school schedule.
Being happy requires having positive disposition in life. As the saying goes, you can look at a half-filled glass of water. One person, who has a positive outlook will see a HALF FULL GLASS . Another person, on the other hand, who has a negative outlook will see a glass HALF-EMPTY.
Whisper believes that being positive in life is habit forming, and you can start by only choosing to use positive words or message into your everyday conversation.
For example, instead of saying your friend is chubby, you can say, she has curves like J-Lo. How about if your friend is getting moody, instead of calling her “toyo-in”, you can call her “in-touch with her feelings”.
The way you approach your menstrual period can also be the way you will see your life as a whole. Kung kaya nyo to see your period as something that can be a happy experience, then same goes with your life or other experiences. So cheer up, HAVE A HAPPY PERIOD!
Being kikay, is being self-conscious about your own personal style & the way you take care of yourself—whether it’s the way you take care of your skin or what clothes or accessories you wear. It’s about being aware of yourself. And being aware of how you are being seen or what image you are projecting to others.
Prom Night could be one if not the biggest night of your entire high school life. Everything matters from what shoes you wear, how you styled your hair or what accessories you are using from your purse down to jewelries. When you’re feeling good and confident about something, and if you are using a reliable napkin like Whisper, you tend to forget na meron ka nga pala. That’s why its so easy to have a HAPPY PERIOD!
MAKE-UP
- To highlight your sultry eyes, choose a bright, intense color to wear around your eyes. Brown and gold are flattering to most skin tones and complement many different prom dresses.
- Use a small amount of foundation sparingly on any blemishes or uneven patches of skin.
- For an innocent, girl-next-door look on prom night, apply a cream blush in a rosy shade to your cheeks, beginning at the apple of your cheeks and blending outward. Be sure to blend the blush well.
- For a glam and flashy look, use a cream blush with some shimmer or sparkle in it to add some color and freshness to your cheeks.
- Use a glossy shade of lipstick that includes shimmer. Your face will glow and catch the light all night.
- If you have any marks that foundation will not cover, use a concealer first and set it with loose powder.
- Remember to keep your lipstick or lip gloss with you so you can reapply, if necessary, during the prom.
HAIR CARE
- Shampoo everyday to take out dirt & dust that your hair collects from your daily activity.
- Proper shampooing: Start applying from the hair roots down to the tips.
- Condition everyday to moisturize hair.
- Proper towel drying. Start from the tip of your hair to the top. Avoid drying your hair vigorously as it damaged the hair.
SKIN CARE
- Wash your face twice a day (no more) with warm water and a mild soap. Gently massage your face with circular motions.
- Avoid popping pimples. Popping pimples can push infected material further into the skin.
- To keep bacteria away, wash your hands before applying anything to your face.
- Keep hair clean and out of your face to prevent additional dirt and oil from clogging your pores.
- Protect your skin from the sun. The sun causes damage to skin that will eventually lead to wrinkles and increase your risk of skin cancer.
Style is the way you put together clothes, not the clothes themselves. Sometimes, just wearing the right clothes is enough to boost your confidence and make you happy. Para sa RAMPANG WALANG KABA, lalo na when you have your monthly period, you need a reliable sanitary napkin like Whisper, and these fun and helpful tips from the fashion experts:
- A dress that has high waistline, a long, full skirt that flows straight from waistline makes you look slimmer on the waist and create an illusion of height for short or petite figures.

- A slim dress with little fabric detail that hugs curves and outlines the silhouette of your body tends to show off a well-toned body. These dresses are beautiful and graceful on tall, thin figures.

- A form-fitted bodice dress that flares out from the natural waist to a full skirt, also known as a princess-cut gown flatters most figure types and works gracefully for girls mindful of their hips or thighs.

- A tea-length dress is a gown that is hemmed to end just at the shin. It has a fun and sexier appearance that is perfect for a slightly casual or more relaxed appearance at the prom. This dress style is ideal if your calves are your best feature or you have a tall, thin figure.

- A high-low gown is hemmed long in the back and just above the knees in the front. This trendy, new style creates a unique, sexy prom dress appearance. It is perfect for showing off long legs and an hour-glass figure.

A stylish purse not only serves to contain all of your items. It can also be a fun addition to your prom outfit. Keep these tips in mind
- A clutch is fashionable. But, because it does not have a handle, one hand is always occupied with it. If you need to have both your hands free, consider choosing a style with a handle.
- Your prom purse does not have to exactly match the color of your dress. In fact, if you’d like to draw more attention to your dress and to yourself, look for a purse in a contrasting yet complementary color.
- An evening purse is often much more flashy. When looking for your prom purse, feel free to choose a purse with plenty of extras (ribbons, jewels, etc.).
- Remember to buy a purse large enough to hold your essential items. Your purse should have enough room to hold your I.D, some extra cash, your prom tickets, your cell phone, lip gloss, a small powder compact, and breath mints or spray.
When looking for a shoe for prom, keep style and comfort balanced by following the tips below:
- If you are afraid your feet will start killing you before bring along a pair of flip-flops with beading to slip on halfway through.
- If you are wearing a shoe with a high heel, be sure the shoe comes with ankle straps. The ankle straps will keep you secure and prevent any lost-shoe mishaps on the dance floor.
- Look for a pair of shoes that are exactly the same color as your dress.
- If you are wearing a very sparkly gown, choose sparkly shoes to accompany it. They will match your dress perfectly.
- If you are wearing open-toed sandals, be sure to get a pedicure before the big day.
If your debut is your introduction to womanhood, then the prom night is definitely your introduction to dating. What makes prom night even more exciting and a memorable event for girls is the fact that dating during the prom has the blessing of our parents. So who will choose to date for the prom?
- A prom date who is already known to your parents will make your prom experience less stressful. Your parents will also have a better night waiting up for you if they know that you are going out with someone they know.
- If you already have a steady boyfriend then getting a prom date is not a problem with you. If you don't have anyone yet, then look from among you circle of friends. Do you have a friend you feel relaxed with? Then you can choose him.
- Your girlfriends can also help you get a prom date by recommending some of their buddies or even their brothers. Start looking around for friends who have brothers who may either be your age or older than you.
- Have a crush on someone? Why not invite him or her for the prom? This can be a good start for a special friendship between the two of you.
- You have to choose someone whom you are comfortable with. Prom night is supposed to be fun!
Mom remains to be our one true friend even as we grow older. Here are some tips to bond with your moms without spending much:
- 1.Bring your photo albums to your mom and spend time looking through them, recounting stories or events that are important to her or to the both of you.
- Write on a paper what you and your siblings love about your mom. Decorate a glass jar and insert these papers. If ever mom is feeling low, she can read each message and will instantly feel better.
- Create a GC or gift certificate for your mom. Each GC will entitle your mom to a personalized service such as FREE massage from you, FREE Chocolate Cake, etc.
- Make mom “Queen for a Day.” Make sure she knows about this in advance so she can come up with some interesting demands.
- Have a Happy Period moment with your Mom. Use your period as your trigger date, to have 1 single bonding day with mom. It works like your monthsary celebration. Whenever you have your period, think of it as your reminder to spend (1) great bonding time with your mom. It can be as simple as a movie watching on DVD, ice-cream or food pig-out or shopping with your mom. Whatever it is, make it part of your calendar!
As the saying goes, tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are. Next to our family, our friends have a huge influence over our lives.
Whisper believed that part of having a HAPPY PERIOD is a friend who cheer us up when we really need it, a friend who we can share our secrets with, even if its as simple as checking out if you have stain when you have your period, and of course a friend who will be sensitive to our needs.
Here are some tips on how you can keep friends for life:
- Be open to your friends. Next to your family, you have your friends to rely on if something is bothering you or when you are having a blast or having those HAPPY PERIODS in your life. It’s ok to have secrets. But it pays when you have someone who understands what you are going through.
- Know your friend’s special dates, particularly his or her birthday. Make this a very special occasion and make her feel important by being the first to text or by organizing a simple birthday party for her. Gifts or surprises need not be expensive; you just need to be creative. Hand-written greeting card, a personal appearance by her crush, cute little cakes or gathering of all her friends make more wonders than fancy gifts.
- Make yourself available whenever your friend needs someone to talk to. Most of our friends just need a shoulder to cry on.
Anything that we experience has more meaning when we share it with people closest to us. Whisper wrote this pledge to mark this important stage in your life.
Pledge:
I believe na kapag meron ako, ito ay time to be happy.
Kaya mula ngayon, I pledge to do whatever it takes to have a happy period.
All girls are special. I am special.
Kaya mamahalin ko ang aking sarili.
I will tackle all challenges with a big smile:
Kapag masakit ang puson ko, kakain ako ng chocolate.
Kapag bad trip ako, sasayaw ako ng parang walang nakitingin.
Kapag bad trip ang friend ko, kakantahan ko siya ng napakalakas.
Dahil alam ko na lahat ng ito’y parte ng pagdadalaga,
At gagawin ko ang lahat para maging masaya.
I know that ang pagdadalaga ay special.
I will enjoy every moment of it and have fun with my friends.
Alam kong marami ang magkaka-crush sa akin.
Kapag nagpa-cute sila, ito ay dahil cute ako!
I pledge to give a warm embrace to my friends pag meron sila.
I will smile. I will be happy. I will always have a happy period.
HAVE A HAPPY PERIOD!
